I am very happy to place on record my impressions about the dental treatment by Dr Praveen Jayakumar of Dr Jayakumar’s Sulochana Dental Centre, West Mambalam. Severe tooth pain, Swollen cheek and fear of a dentist’s chair; these were my conditions when I first met Dr Praveen Jayakumar. It turned out to be a pleasant experience to discuss my dental problem with him, His encouraging words, and lucid explanation of the condition of my teeth, together with his plan of approach for treatment made me feel confident. Soon I shed my fear and the same dental chair became cosy and comfortable. Not only did he explain the technological developments in dentistry, but also demonstrated how they can be adapted in different circumstances. As an academician, I was impressed with the way he threw light on the medical aspects and the care of dental hygiene
The process of treatment was smooth. He was patient and meticulous. He certainly didn’t mind more sessions until the job was done to his satisfaction and my comfort, considering my age. I am extremely happy to have met him and I feel confident that I have a dentist close by for me and my family. His pleasant demeanour and cheerful disposition go a long way to make the patient feel comfortable.

I knew about my impacted third molars (wisdom teeth) that needed to be surgically removed for almost 4 years. However, I kept delaying the procedure for 2 reasons. There was no significant discomfort and more importantly I was never comfortable at the thought of undergoing a surgical procedure without knowing the exact need and the resultant impact of it. Every dentist I had visited previously advised that these impacted teeth had to be removed but I never felt convinced with their explanations. Further, I used to receive patronizing answers to my questions and hence never felt comfortable enough to trust them.
The folks (Dr. Praveen and Dr.Naveen) at Sulochana Dental Care Center are polar opposites to the other dentists I have met. The need for surgery was precisely explained to me along with possible repercussions of avoiding it. Further, multiple options for the extraction was explained to me and all my questions were answered without any airs of superiority. Their professional and unequivocal approach helped me to confidently decide on the desired extraction procedure. The procedure was performed very efficiently in their clinic under a very hygienic environment. They have an excellent infrastructure setup and were able to surgically relieve me of all my 4 wisdom teeth on the same day using a technique known as conscious sedation.
On the whole, I had a very positive experience and I am glad that I trusted them. I really appreciate their attitude and I hope they continue their excellent and ethical practice for many years to come.

We (my wife and I) thought we would wait about a month to provide evidence that demonstrates the truth for the proverb "The proof of the pudding is in the eating". You have been excellent to say the least. This is by far the best service I have ever had at a dental office. We would, without any hesitation, recommend anyone / refer anyone to your clinic.
You have diagnoised my condition and recommended to constuct a bridge for the RCT tooth. The bridge ordered was fitted...you asked me to wait for a day or two to see the comfort. It was indeed a bit uncomfortable. You scraped it to a point that now it is just the perfect fit. I am feeling very comfortable and happy with the level of clinical service.
And, speaking of serice by the office staff, I must say they are super, kind and very adaptable to the situation. They stayed late to suit patients timings not minding their inconveninces.
We (Sudha and I) are both immensely satisfies, in fact, your clinic's hygeine exceeded the expectation. It is very clean and all the materials used were new and I saw once used, they were thrown. Thank you for all the services.
Last, but not the least, you and your staff are very wonderful dealing with the kids. Both my daughters are very happy for the dental work you have done. We know it needs a lot of patience for child patients, esp. with my daughters... and you and staff exhibited such character and kindness.

I underwent root canal treatment fitted with cap in this clinic in 1999. Though the life is generally up to the tune of 8-10 years, it gave a life of 13 years.
After 13 years, i got this metallic cap replaced by a ceramic one. The replacement was so perfect, now, I dont feel that i have an artificial tooth.
I must say, the Dr. Praveen is very kind in his words and is perfect professional.
The clinic is slighly expensive, but still would suggest this clinic for any dental problems.
