About Dr.Naveen Jayakumar
Dr.(Prof.)Naveen Jayakumar happens to be the FIRST DENTIST IN SOUTH INDIA holding the prestigious fellowship of the International college of surgeons. He obtained his dental degree from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai in the year 2000. There he emerged as a meritorious candidate topping the university in five subjects and an additional merit of obtaining the "Overall best performance in final year BDS examinations" certificate in the millennium year. He subsequently pursued higher education in the same university for a period of three years. After successfully completing his masters degree in faciomaxillary surgery in the year 2003 he went to the United Kingdom for advanced training. Following a brief stint as a clinical attachment candidate in Wales, UK, he returned to India with an intention to assist his father in practice. Teaching is the best way to give and gain wisdom. Dr.Naveen realised this very soon and started teaching at an early stage. He has been an active post graduate teacher for about a decade now. He has published numerous scientific articles in international journals pertaining to speciality dentistry, lasers, endodontics, and faciomaxillary surgery. He has also been presenting scientific papers and delivering lectures in national and international conferences over the last few years. Dr.Naveen also has been appointed as a post graduate examiner for dental courses in many reputed universities in the country.
Clinically his areas of interests include dental implants, facial surgery and wisdom teeth. In addition to being a dental practitioner, he is also a visiting consultant for facial surgery in numerous hospitals in chennai, the details of which can be obtained directly from his office.
